We’ve had a healthy snow storm descend on the Smokies within the past few days and everything’s shutdown and closed up. Basically what that means is, I can’t get where I need to be. Try as I may, I looked for a way in on Sunday, but to no avail. The best I could do is drive up to a closed gate and get a peek of the splendor beyond.
Mount Mitchell in NC, (highest peak east of the Mississippi) had record snowfall at 66 inches.
